Party Time!

It's time for Vee's Note Card Party!
On the third Wednesday of each month we meet at
A Haven For Vee for party time.

We select four photographs that we think would make a nice set of note cards
and we share them.

Hoppy Spring!

It's time for some tea and for Vee's Note Card Party.
I'm going to take a trip back in time and share some of my posts
celebrating Spring and Easter.

Easter Tea

Rules of Chocolate Easter Eggs:
1. If you get melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating too slowly.

Easter Bunny

2. Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices, and strawberries all count as fruit,
so eat as many as you want.

Easter Bunny

3. Diet tip: Eat an Easter Egg before each meal.
It'll take the edge off your appetite, and that way you'll eat less.

Easter Tea

4. If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer.
But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what is wrong with you?

Wishing YOU well, much joy, a wonderful cup of tea, and a Happy Easter!

Vee, thank you for hosting the Note Card Party each month.

A big thank you to our tea party hosts:

It's Party Time!

We get to pick 4 images from our blog that we think would make good note cards.

I think we are all looking forward to spring.
With that in mind, here are my four Note Cards.
The first three are from recent blog posts.

Soups On!

Soup's On!
or, in this case
Food's On the Note Card Party Table.

It's time for Vee's  Note Card Party.
Vee is celebrating food today and I decided to go along with her.

Fruit Tart

This delicious fruit tart was my birthday cake one year.

Farmhouse Delivery

I used to have veggies delivered straight to my door.
This was one of the first deliveries.

Cupcakes

The cupcakes are from one of my god-daughter's wedding showers.
His and hers shower -- fun -- the shower and the strawberry cupcakes.

Low Tea at the Museum

Last, this was a low tea held at the museum.

It was fun to take a look back on food at Twisty Lane.

Thank you, Vee.

Note Card Party!

I missed Vee's Note Card Party last month.
I had a cold and forgot all about the party.
But I was forgetting about almost everything.
I looked back at the month of September to see what I missed!

Christmas Wreaths

As long as I was curled up on the couch with kitties, I put the time to good use.

That's how I spent my time while I had a cold.

I've been missing the Note Card Party this summer and
I'm happy to be back!

Tea is always a good subject for Note Cards.

I thought I'd add a little tea humor.
This is part of a post by Regena Rafelson at TChing.
Please go to TChing to see the four other truths.

Some Important Truths About Tea.

3. People who drink tea mind their manners and avoid coarse language.

Who the %&#@ came up with that @$&* idea?

6. Males, left alone in a room with a tea cozy, will inevitably try it on.

You don't really want to know the dirty truth about this one.

Notecard Party!

It's time for one of my favorite Blogland Parties:
Vee's NoteCard Party.

A Haven for Vee

Once a month we all get together with four photos from our blog
that we think would make a good Note Card.

This time of year, before it gets too hot and humid,
I spend a lot of time in the Japanese Garden at Hermann Park.
Here are some of the images I've shared recently of this very special space.

The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
~Dorothy Frances Gurney

Japanese Garden

"Japanese gardens ask that you go beyond the garden spiritually,
that you look at the garden not merely as an object
but also as a path into the realms of spirit."
— Makoto Ooka in The Temple in the House by Anthony Lawlor

Japanese Garden

"When a garden is used as a place to pause for thought,
that is when a Zen garden comes to life.
When you contemplate a garden like this it will form a lasting impression on your heart."
