I went to Whole Foods and look what I found.
A hint that the seasons are changing.
The first pumpkins have arrived.
These are all carving pumpkins.
I guess, here in the tropics, they won't get mushy until they are cut!

I found the Dump Cake recipe I was looking for.
Here it is:
Autumn Dump Cake
1 can (29 ounces) pear pieces in light syrup, undrained
1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 package (doubt 15 ounces) yellow cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, cut into thin slices
1/4 cup caramel topping, warmed
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
Spray 13x9 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Drain pears, reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
Spread pears and apple pie filling in prepared pan;
drizzle with reserved pear syrup.
Sprinkle with cranberries.
Top with cake mix, spreading evenly.
Top with butter in single layer, covering cake mix as much as possible.
Drizzle with caramel topping.
3. Bake 40 to 45 minutes
or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
Cool at least 15 minutes before serving.
Makes 12 to 16 servings.

I always check out the flowers at Whole Foods
and I found some lovely tulips...
in Fall colors!

Then I went to Trader Joe's to finish my grocery shopping
and I found more flowers.
I think the iris is near the top of my favorites list.
I just love everything about them.

Meanwhile, in Musashi's Garden,
a little anole was shedding his skin.
It's busy around here!
Wishing YOU well and much joy!

If I was in Houston right now, your doorbell would be ringing. I'd bring some tea if I could have a small piece of that cake, Snap! Glad you're in the fall mode after your hot summer. Nights are going to frost here - soon the snow will fly!
Mmmm, that Dump Cake looks good! And easy! I may give it a try, thanks.
I haven't seen pumpkins yet, but I am sure they are coming soon! The dump cake looks so good, great combination of flavors. Have a beautiful weekend! Pam @ Everyday Living
What a lovely post, filled with autumn happiness and beautiful photos.
The cake looks divine. May I come too? I'll bring the coffee. :)
Thank you for sharing. Have a lovely weekend!
Hello,Snap,
It is fun to see those many pumpkins. They are colorful and smiling, quite different from ours in Japan. That little anole is sweet, even looks like a toy!
Have a good weekend.
Yummy- now that sounds like something I want to make. The flowers are so pretty- I am beyond ready for fall!
I'd like a slice of your dump cake, please I'll just go and put the kettle on for a nice cuppa!
Lovely autumn mosaics, bon weekend.

Enjoy your weekend
As we move into Autumn I'm hoping we have an Indian Summer! I actually enjoy the season and all those Autumn colours. I like your welcome wreath on your door and the pile of pumpkins in the store.
Thank you for sharing such a great recipe! I had to look twice in the photo to find the anole. Have a lovely day, Pat xx
Well it's 90 here today, so I see no signs of change yet, no idea what it is down your way.....fun recipe. Hope you are feeling better. xox
Love everything about this post. I'm thinking the cake would be a great one for potlucks when we get back to Upriver ... wouldn't dare make it for just us, because we're old and sorta' sugar free ... but one little piece wouldn't hurt. (It's just if I made it for us, even for us and another couple, which is all the room I have for entertaining here, then we'd eat it all.)
Man oh man pumpkins are expensive there! Enjoy your week.
You seem to have a mix of seasons there with fall pumpkins and spring tulips and iris! The dump cake sounds delicious and very sweet! Might even give it a try. I think ice cream would be perfect with it.

Wonderful fall post! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe! The anole is cute even with his shed. Trader Joe's is one of my favorite places!!!
The dumpcake looks divine! And I love your header, too. Lovely photos.
that's a lot of pumpkins! I guess nothing says autumn quite so well as a beautiful orange pumpkin, especially once you carve a spooky face into it!
Hello, your cake sounds delicious. I love the pretty flowers. I think Whole Foods is like our Wegmans here, they have pretty flowers too. Lovely images. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
That's my kind of grocery shopping. I wish we had a Whole Foods HERE! Love the flowers you found and the pumpkins! This is such a beautiful season for photographers...and bloggers! Hugs!
You sure know what's coming when the pumpkins appear at the market. I've never made a dump cake but they sound so easy. Of course the heavy, sticky lemon cake I made and showed on my blog could be considered a dump cake. lol
Pumpkin season is upon us. The recipe looks real good.
You had an orange day!!! :)) Irises are gorgeous too - enjoy your week Snap!
Wonderful post! The cake sounds delicious! Pumpkins always make me smile - they are such jolly looking things.
