For the last tea day in February,
I've pulled out an old favorite, some red transferware.
My Granny called these luncheon plates.
Victorian Trading Company calls them tea and scone sets.
Tea and toast sounds good to me!
Is Spring around the corner?
I hope so!
The Huffington Post shared an article from the Elephant Journal on Tea and Ritual
that you might be interested in reading.
I'm joining some tea parties today:
Wishing you well, much joy and a lovely cup of tea!

Snap, your red transferware tea and scones set is so pretty! I love the red! Thank you for coming to tea and enjoy your day.
Blessings,

Lovely dishes! They would make any occasion festive.
Love red transferware...there is always something so cheerful about it. We had a dusting of snow, but spring is definitely creeping closer! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cupps Tea!

Your transferware is really beautiful, Snap! The flower is lovely too - that color!
I learned to call small plates like that luncheon plates too! Sheesh, am I that old?
Some of the tea ladies call them toast and tea sets. Doesn't matter, it just means there's room for something to eat beside the tea cup and with me, it would be sweet.
I've not seen a red transferware set, very nice.
I hope spring is around the corner too Snap, a small corner.

What a great serving plate. So pretty and very practical! Spring is probably on your doorstep, but not on mine.
The red tea set surely does look Victorian...in flavour anyway. And the flowers you have chosen to go with it are perfect.
Your flower sure makes me dream of spring. I have not heard of transfer ware.
What a lovely way to have tea and toast or tea and scones or even a bit of lunch! Thanks for sharing.
Oh Snap, I love your red transferware tea set and yes, tea and toast sounds perfect! I will go check out the article. Thank you for sharing. xo

What a lovely tea cup and plate! I love the shape of the saucer and the color and pattern! (hoping spring will be here soon, but it is so cold!)
I love red transferware, and that tea and scone plate. Victorian Trading Company has some great items. Thanks for stopping by my blog Snap. Oh, and I love the baby elephant and giraffe from your previous post. 6'6" at birth?? wow.
The tea and scone set is very pretty. I like the red pattern on it.
Beautiful, whatever the name. My mama called plates of that size "luncheon plates," too.
My late mother had such lovely teacups!
