Camera Critters Happy New Year!

A Happy New Year to all my Camera Critters friends.

The wonderful Misty brings Camera Critters to us each week.

This week I'm sharing some photos of THE grandson
feeding the giraffes at the Houston zoo -- mainly Myles.

Giraffe feeding

It took awhile before THE grandson got comfortable,
but then he didn't want to stop

Giraffe feeding

and Myles didn't want him to stop.

Giraffe feeding

If you look carefully at this photo,
on Myles neck, near the top right,
one of his *spots* is heart shaped.
Too cool!
We'll always know which giraffe is Myles -- look for the heart!

How heart warming...from the heart shaped spot, to the love between man and animal...love has no boundaries...you can see that they sensed that from one another. Beautiful!

My daughter-in-law loves giraffes. The baby one eating from your grandson's hands is adorable - well they both are, of course!!!

Ooh, giraffes! They're fascinating creatures! Thanks for sharing your story about your Quinn with me :o) My Quinn is a female, but she is perfectly delightful as well, she purrs as soon as you look at her!

When I think of my childhood visits to the zoo, it is the giraffes I remember most. We could feed them then, and I was fascinated by their long dark tongues. What a wonderful experience for your grandson.
Keeping you in my prayers!

Great pictures, and reminds me of one I have of me, Washington Park Zoo (now called Oregon Zoo), with my dad holding me up to feed one of the giraffes. My parents said that a woman standing next to them could not believe that they'd allow me "to feed such a dirty animal". lol

Every time I look at that photo I think of that story. lol
