Autumn Days Come Quickly

Autumn days come quickly,
like the running of a hound on the moor
Irish proverb

If, in the fall of the leaves in October,
many of them wither on the boughs and hang there,
 it betokens a frosty winter and much snow.

Fall Has Arrived

Spring rain damps;
Autumn rain soaks.

Of autumn’s wine, now drink your fill;
the frost’s on the pumpkin, and snow’s on the hill.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac, 1993

Fall Wreath

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
~ Albert Camus

Cottage Fall Magazine

There is a harmony in autumn,
and a luster in its sky,
which through the summer is not heard or seen,
as if it could not be,
as if it had not been!
~Percy Bysshe Shelley

“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
― L.M. MontgomeryAnne of Green Gables

Pumpkin Door

“Fall has always been my favorite season.
The time when everything bursts with its last beauty,
as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
― Lauren DeStefanoWither

Happy Fall

Wishing YOU well and much joy!

I love all the quotes - perfect pairing with your photos! I am inspired by the picture of the wreath and the door decoration - we can hardly put out any real flowers (mums) at all - the deer will eat them!

What a wonderful autumnal post, you've brought the first pumpkins to Mosaic Monday today. Your collection of seasonal quotes just set the scene beautifully. I'm beginning to think I should be out collecting leaves and chestnut conkers to dress the mantle with.
Happy Mosaic Monday.

Happy Fall, Snap! Autumn seems to be holding back here - it's still very warm, but the rain is coming soon. You've shared some beautiful fall photos and mosaics, along with apt quotes.

Enjoy fall! I love those autumn wreaths and the sunflowers. We don't have the changes of leaf colour here during autumn so I always love to visit your corner of the world when you do! Enjoy the rest of your week and thank you so much for stopping by my blog this week.

I like all the images here. Autumn is my favorite season and I can relate to all the quotes about autumn you chose, except the first one, Irish proverb. In my part of the world, while summer comes abruptly from spring, autumn comes slowly with gradual cooling to burst in colors in late November. Have happy days ahead.

Wonderful ode to October and Autumn: Smiles with every picture and word. I've just started re-reading the Green Gables books, which I got for my Kindle (no idea where the ones I used to own ended up -- probably with our daughter or granddaughter)....anyway, I loved seeing the Anne quote here. I'm glad too!
