I've been busy with Index Card a Day.
It's too hot to do any walking or adventuring outside for photo taking.
I'm letting tea be my muse today and sharing my new-to-me teacup.
(Thank you Nancy for hosting.)
My sista suggested I bring this little beauty home with me.
She had drawer full of teacups and this one and its mate called to me.
I don't have any like this Royal Stafford teacup.
Now I have two!
I love the birds.
I spent quite a bit of time online yesterday trying to find the pattern name.
No luck.
Perhaps one of my tea friends can help?!
A little faded daguerrotype processing.
Faded daguerrotype and Nancy's Deanna texture.
Thank you to our tea party hosts:
Wishing YOU well, much joy and a lovely cup of tea!
What a pretty set! I love how you've displayed them. :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice, tea cup and bird. Wish it was hot here. I have my heater running. uuhhggg

That's a pretty tea cup - and nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the pattern but I do know that it's lovely! And I love the processing..isn't it fun to play with textures? Stay cool and keep those ICAD's coming...the ones you've been doing the last few days are really stunning! xo
ReplyDeleteOh it's lovely! Beautiful birds and i love these photos. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely vintage tea cup and I like the textures and layers you added for that soft, romantic look. It certainly is a challenge to find a particular pattern so I hope that someone can help you!
ReplyDeleteI love the cup, unfortunately, I have no clue about the name. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeletePretty teacup and lovely editing...
ReplyDeleteIt is a very pretty little cup and saucer. I wish I could help with the name of the pattern. I like your header btw. I noticed that you have 2 horizontal patterns and 2 vertical ones. It looks very interesting. The giraffe caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteExquisite saucer and cup! I love the delicate shape of the cup. And the birds are lovely. They make any cup of tea special. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely teacup, Snap. I adore bird motifs and this one is a wonderful find. Love your little feathered friend too! Thank you for coming to tea and enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
so sweet ...
ReplyDeleteOh this is as dear little Royal Stafford tea cup! The pattern is new to me, but oh so lovely! It is sweet with your little birdie.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in!
Hugs,
Terri
I love old tea-cups and this one is a beauty!!
ReplyDeleteThe teacup and the way you set up the photoshoot are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the sweet little bird figurine.
ReplyDeleteFantastic altered photos! Love those textures. xox
ReplyDeleteYour teacup is lovely, I'm so ready for a cup of tea. I too cannot help you with the name but I shall keep an eye out. I have a Shelley I cannot name too, frustrating.
ReplyDeleteSnap:You found a great cup and saucer in an unusual bird motif! I know this one will cheer you on a cold winter day too!
ReplyDeleteI don't recognise the pattern but it is beautiful. I like birds too, and my wedding china is a Danish patter with a seagull on every beautiful blue dish.
ReplyDeleteThe processing is lovely! And what beautiful dishes!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Snap as I like birds on china too. The pedalstal type bottom is interesting and hopefully you'll find out more about it.

Lovely, lovely. I've never seen a pattern like this before, so I guess I'm not too much help...lol, but it is so pretty and I love how you've filtered the photos. Very romantic. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty teacup, Snap! I love the filtered photo, too.
ReplyDeleteYour muse is just outstanding and pretty!
