St. Patrick's Day is today.
This year I started celebrating a little early with a
Green Tea Frappuccino from Starbucks.
Matcha and Green heaven! Ha!
And, if it is too cold for a Frappuccino,
perhaps some hot tea will do the trick.
Always nice to get out the Belleek for St. Patrick's Day.
Corned beef and cabbage are usually on the menu.
This year I'm changing things up a bit and plan on having
Pasta, Peas, Asparagus, Spinach and Pesto!

Daffodils have arrived at Trader Joe's and I'm in heaven!
Spring is definitely arriving around Twisty Lane.
In almost every room.

I finished the Cottage Charm Afghan.
Yes, I ran out of blue and had to get more.
The color is a close match, but the texture is a little different.
I always make the first of a project for myself.
The difference in texture won't bother me!
I think my favorite part of the afghan is the little white bow!
It's going to work well as a lap-ghan for me.
Most importantly -- It has Mr. Oliver's approval!
The blue matches his eyes......
I'm reading the last of the Amish mysteries - A Churn for the Worse.
I'll be sad to finish. I really like the characters and the setting.
I hope there are more to come in the series.

I think God must have been in a really good mood when he created daffodils. So bright and cheery, they can stand up to really nasty weather, deer don't eat the plants, and gophers and moles don't eat the bulbs. AND they come early, like little messengers to let us know that spring is on the way.

ReplyDeleteI adore daffodils and when they come to the stores I am more than ready for them. The massive commercial fields are not in bloom yet, but soon. I always have a bouquet or two of daffodils as long as they are blooming. Your decorations are so sweet, and your teapot and the afghan is wonderful - I like the flowers and the blue. ReplyDeleteThe afghan is so pretty such joyful colours. Seeing all your lovely Easter décor has reminded me that I need to get in the loft and find mine. I do have plenty of daffodils in the house though thanks to the wind and rain this past weekend. I had to rescue lots of them from being battered down in the garden.

I'm late to the St Pat's Party here, but its never to late for an Irish Blessing -- thanks for that and for the beautiful daffodils -- I love and miss them -- they really don't grow here in SW Florida and of course are long gone by the time we get home to Oregon in June.
