I'm still trying to fool myself into feeling cooler by knitting!
I finished one shawl in cotton.
It wasn't difficult.
I do have to think about what I'm doing ... no multitasking while knitting!

I found him at Michael's and could't resist bringing him home.

A few Halloween goodies have made their way beside the fabric pumpkins.

She has an Etsy shop.
I'm not sure my Siamese, Cassie,
would be willing to deliver pumpkins by broom!

ReplyDeleteWe're going through the weather seesaw too. Now it's raining and by Thursday it will be in the 80s again. Not so compatible for fall decorating. I did buy a scarecrow similar to yours at JoAnns this weekend.

I liked your last photo with the light-hole-decorated pumkins...Maybe an idea for me. In Sweden Halloween is a celebration which grown to be an usual tradition this last 10 years. In the Swedish Christian Church we have an elder tradition to celebrate with candles in church and graveyards for the last dying persons, and somestimes this Christian tradition coincide in same dates as Halloween holidays... Sometimes they have tried to move this different celbrations to different dates, for not making grieving people be upset seeing this halloweendressed people and halloweensymbols around.
Here in the southern parts of Sweden we have another rather new tradition in November: "Lights in Österlen". A contest in the dark evening i the villages to show the most uplighten community. A nice event to drive from the dark way in to the lights in the villages and smalltowns.

ReplyDeleteYour decorations are really cute. My grands would like to come to your house rather than the "Scarey" ones we see here and there at this time of year. The shawl looks good--you should show they whole thing so we can see its asymmetry. I can only knit or crochet with cotton when it's hot outside! LOL.
