Hyacinths For The Soul

If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft
And of thy simple store two loaves of bread alone are left
Sell one, and with the dole,
Buy hyacinths to feed the soul.
~ Sa’di

Hyacinths for the Soul

In one brief period of sunshine, I caught the sun before it disappeared again.
Warmth, peace and calm inside.

Wishing YOU well and much joy.

  2. I know that spring is really coming when the hyacinths appear. They are just starting to push through the ground, but I have hurried the season along a little by having some inside. I love your blue hyacinth.

  9. Hyacinth... one of my most favorite fragrance. During my most recent visit to the grocery, I happened to walk within about 15 feet of the floral department. Hyacinth! Spring!! I didn't buy them since the bulbs in my yard will soon (I hope) be blooming, but I was tempted.

    Beautiful poem; beautiful photo.

  13. I absolutely have fallen in live with hyacinths in the latter years. I buy several every year for indoors and then plant them in the garden. I must now have over 50. They warm my heart.
