As you can tell, the sun is shining here.
We set heat records every day and
I'm getting tired of the weather!
So, in an effort to feel cooler,
I finished this little scarecrow.
The little scarecrow was easy to crochet.
He's lots of fun.
The design is by Sheila Leslie for Crochet World/DRG.
I purchased him as a kit from Mary Maxim.
And, NO, I don't feel cooler.
But I am smiling!
Wishing YOU well and joy filled day!
For those who might be interested, I found a pattern for
a scarecrow online that is very similar to the one I made.
Love your scarecrow. I am so ready for fall.. cannot wait on the cooler temps. He's absolutely precious.
ReplyDeleteWho could not smile, looking at him? Adorable!
ReplyDeleteWe just keep hearing about the heat in your area. This summer has been brutal for your part of the country. I hope you get a break before too much longer. Fall has to bring some cooler temps.
ReplyDeleteYour little scarecrow is so cute. Maybe he'll bring some relief.
Very cute scarecrow. :-)
ReplyDeleteI know that a lot of the country is battling major heat waves and setting records right and left, and I don't envy those folks, but.....
It's mid-August and here in the PNW we've had very little to call 'summer'. There's the hint of change in the air already (cool mornings - only 52 this morning), and it's getting late in the season for us to have any serious heat.
So many veggies in need of warm weather to ripen. So many I'm afraid won't get the chance.
Super adorable scarecrow! Looking forward to the fall :)
ReplyDeletecute little scarecrow. we just finally got summer here in the NW. we had a very rainy late spring into summer.
ReplyDeleteHi Snap, Does your blog come up on Facebook? If so--how????
ReplyDeleteHope you do cool off soon down there. We finally have some cooler weather today--but you don't need to hear that....
Love the little scarecrow...
Hugs,
Betsy
Pumpkin pie and trick or treaters, crunching through leaves and cool mornings. There - did that help? I don't really want to think about the harvest just yet, I have a lot of summer to squeeze out still!
ReplyDeleteSmiling can make you feel cooler (even if it can't I believe in the power of positive thinking..*snort*).
ReplyDeleteLove this little guy...you are so talented with the needles!
