It's Garden Time ... right?!!!!


I love when the seed catalogs start arriving in the mail.
Have you planned your garden?
Ordered your seeds?
Started your seeds?

I'm still dreaming!
With everything that has gone on around here, I am behind
but I hope I get to the nursery and pickup some tomato plants and 
geraniums for the balcony garden.






I'll plant spearmint, basil and catnip (can't forget the furbabies).
I still have oregano and thyme in pots that made it through the winter.
I love zinnias and have lots of seeds including the new lemonade mix from Burpee.
Can't forget the green beans! 
Yum!!!

I hope Spring is springing where you live.

    I've pretty much given up on trying to garden here. If the wind doesn't get the plants then the heat does. I've tried so many different things and nothing seems to work. I wish you good luck with yours. I'll just watch enviously!

    I get a bit insane when it comes to seed catalogs, making up so many lists that I'd need acreage, lots and lots of acreage, in order to plant everything. I'm trying to keep it simple this year, but we'll see.

    Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my smiley face pancakes. I say definitely go for those Star Wars pancake molds. Why not? They looked like fun to me!

    I'll dream about seeds for quite awhile yet, Snap. It's still snowing here. However, that new Burpee Zinnia has caught my attention. I always plant Zinnias in Denver - the season is too short in the Mts.

    It seemed as if spring was coming, but we've taken a few steps backwards over the weekend. It got really cold again! My husband is the resident landscaper around here...he just loves his catalogs:)

    Oh great mosaic....I am so looking forward to Spring this year...like never before. I'm so ready for green and other glorious colors....we've had so much white covering all the brown. Hope your week is grand!

    Love your mosaic, I think we're all dreaming of similar things, pretty gardens, be it flowers or vegetables or herbs, just nice to see growth! My rosemary, oregano, thyme and chives all survived a pretty harsh winter here!

    Now that mosaic is a real teaser! I haven't done any planning either - we're spending a lot of time on the road between doctors' offices, labs, tests etc....but if I don't do seeds, I'll buy seedlings. I can't wait!

    Not quite time for me to start a garden here; we had freezing temps last night. I don't do much veggie gardening, flowers are my thing. I did try a hay bale garden last year, but we got so much rain that the hay mildewed and the peppers and squash I planted therein croaked. I may try to put in a small raised bed this year. I'd love to have a few tomatoes and some hot peppers.

    I don't do the seeds any more. I buy the plants now. I love zinnias and snapdragons and fill my little garden space with them. The window boxes get herbs and I have some containers with other flowers! Just a small garden but it works.

    Great mosaic. I shall have to see if I can find the new zinnia!

    We're all waiting impatiently for spring, I think. I'm thinking about my garden - will likely plant basil, tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, and green beans. We don't have much room here, but I do like to grow a few things.

    We are just beginning to have winds and sandstorms out here in West Texas, which marks the beginning of spring. Our springs aren't too fun, here. Summers are wonderful, however.
    I am dreaming of pretty flowers, too.:)

    I just read your note. I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't see the post about Mr. Dragon passing. The only comfort we have when we lose someone so special to us, is that they are in a better place. I know that your faith helps you get through.

    Carol, I don't mention it on my blog, but my husband has Alzheimer's Disease. I have spent much of the last two years grieving the loss of the husband I once knew. Although he has his good days, I have become an expert in the thousand little goodbyes my daughters and I have gone through.

    It's amazing how strong we really are, and it takes the adversity of grief sometimes to let us know that we will get through. Focussing on the good things, and taking time to grieve.

    You are a special lady, and wherever Mr. Dragon is, he is shining favor on your walk through this journey.

    Since our growing season is so late, I just ordered seeds today! I can't wait to see something green sprouting again :) Basil and thyme are a must! Peas too. I'd love to plant some zinnias this year too.
