Memorial
At around 9PM this evening, my little dumpling boy, our precious Rocky, died. He had been with us not quite three years. He was too young to die and I don't know why he did. One minute he was with us. I heard him cough. And he was gone. He was a very special kitty and he'll be greatly missed by Mr. Dragon, his sister, Riley, his big brother Teddy and his Mom. Especially his mom. Here are some of the latest photos that we had taken of him -- saving them for a camera critters post.

Oh, Snap, I'm so sad hearing about Rocky! How devastating especially when he wasn't even sick and there was no indication. My thoughts are with you and I'm sending you a big hug.

ReplyDeleteOh Snap... I'm so very sorry. This made me cry---just thinking of you and your family. Sudden deaths are the worst--and like you said, Rocky was too young to die.

Snap, I am so sorry to hear what happened. What a shock it must be, no warning. Lovely photos of Rocky, he looks very mysterious in these shots. Please know you gave him a life fully of love, comfort and joy. He is definitely missed.

Snap, this is so sad. So unexpected and Rocky was so young. When we don't know "why" we are even more saddened, wondering if we could have done something, but some things are truly out of our hands.

Oh, this is so sad. The suddenness of his going must be so hard. I am so sorry, lovely Snap, for you and Mr. Dragon. What a beautiful boy...When I lost my sweet cat George a few years back, my amazing vet sent me a card. It said something about how George was now sitting on God's lap, getting his strokes, and purring away. I loved that image. I see your Rocky, close to God's presense, sitting bright-eyed in the light shining down...

Having owned animals most of my adult life...and having to say goodbye to far too many...I know how you feel, and will send up prayers that your heart heals leaving you with only good memories.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to read about your loss. What a beautiful kitty! I lost my precious Sidney in May. I had him for 12 years. They are our faithful friends, and it is so difficult to lose them. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe are just finding out about Rocky and want to express our deep sympathy. Sometimes our fur babies are only with us a short time but they do give us so much joy and love. May happy memories of Rocky bring peace.
