I've Done The Taste Testing

October is here.
That means the heat and humidity is coming to an end.
And, Pumpkin everything has taken over.

I walk early each morning
and noticed one of my favorite neighbors had decorated for fall.
I call it "subtle elegance"!

On a Neighbors Fence

Neighbors Ready For Fall

Sometimes, even here near the Gulf of Mexico where green is king in Autumn,
Mother Nature does her own Autumn decorating.

The acorn candle is new this year.

Hello Fall

Fall Frolic!

Cookies

I've been drinking Teavana Chai Tea
from my Autumn mug by Susan Branch.
  Dreaming of cooler days.

I can always depend on Trader Joe's for yummy pumpkin everythings!

I'm happy to report that I've done the taste testing for you
and the cookies are yummy.

Hello Fall

Wishing YOU well and much joy!

  1. I like your neighbour's metal pumpkin fence finials! I like the squirrel plate too but it reminds me that My Rare One is AT WAR right now with squirrels who have taken up residence under her garden shed.

  9. I am a sucker for anything with pumpkin, and so I am delighted Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back! (I only let myself have them - calories! during this season. It keeps it special.) Thanks for sharing your special decorations - you are a classy lady!

  12. Pumpkin everything is right! : - )

I have 4 solid bins of autumn. When this season is over I am going to wittle it down to 3.....possibly 2......autumn is my favorite and it isn't easy letting go - but I have too much stuff. It's time I purge!

I adore your neighbors new fence posts, lol! And your SB mug and new candle is wonderful - what is the scent of your acorn candle??

  14. What a fun gate your neighbor has! I'm not very good at fall decorating - I usually put out a few mum plants here and there, and let nature (and my children) do the rest. We already have a couple of leaf piles my Littles raked together - not for cleaning up the yard, but for jumping into. :)

Also, I love that cute squirrel plate. So fun!

  16. The acorn candle is too cute! I must confess that I had my first Starbucks pumpkin cappuccino on Sept 1st. I wished that I lived closer to Trader Joe's so I can try their pumpkin spice cookies. Did you know that Lindt has pumpkin spice chocolates? I've resisted so far but I may finally break down and get some this weekend. Thank you for the visit and get well wishes!

  20. Well, first and before I forget, thanks for coming over to Marmelade Gypsy -- I love it when that happens because I discover a new blog and yours is beautiful. Plus, reading your profile note, there are so many similarities in what we enjoy, I feel quite at home! So, I must add you to my follow list.

And what gorgeous photos. I love each and every one (and your Susan Branch mug -- I have one of hers, too -- and the TJ cookies and those adorable squirrel plates! Happy to be here! ~ jeanie from Marmelade Gypsy

  21. October!! My favorite month of the year! There's pumpkins, acorns, fall colors, Halloween and just a warm, inviting time all month long. Our humidity hasn't stopped yet, but I look forward to the cold snap that is predicted next Tuesday. Hope that will dry things up some in South Texas.

    Love the yard decor.
