St. Patrick's Day is today.
This year I started celebrating a little early with a
Green Tea Frappuccino from Starbucks.
Matcha and Green heaven! Ha!
And, if it is too cold for a Frappuccino,
perhaps some hot tea will do the trick.
Always nice to get out the Belleek for St. Patrick's Day.
Corned beef and cabbage are usually on the menu.
This year I'm changing things up a bit and plan on having
Pasta, Peas, Asparagus, Spinach and Pesto!
Adapted from a friends recipe that you can find here.

Daffodils have arrived at Trader Joe's and I'm in heaven!
Spring is definitely arriving around Twisty Lane.
In almost every room.
The daffodil is such a happy flower!
The daffodil is such a happy flower!
“Daffodils are an optimistic flower, and foolproof.
You know what Shakespeare said:
"Daffodils,
That come before the swallow dares, and take
The winds of March with beauty."
...I plant them in big clumps with a trusty shovel.
I make several large holes all around and put quite a few in.
That's why it makes such a spectacular look when they bloom.”

I finished the Cottage Charm Afghan.
Yes, I ran out of blue and had to get more.
The color is a close match, but the texture is a little different.
I always make the first of a project for myself.
The difference in texture won't bother me!
I think my favorite part of the afghan is the little white bow!
It's going to work well as a lap-ghan for me.
Most importantly -- It has Mr. Oliver's approval!
The blue matches his eyes......
I'm reading the last of the Amish mysteries - A Churn for the Worse.
I'll be sad to finish. I really like the characters and the setting.
I hope there are more to come in the series.

May your joys be
as deep as the oceans
Your troubles
as light as its foam
And may you find
sweet peace of mind
Wherever you
may roam.
Wishing YOU well and much joy on this St. Patrick's Day.

And a Happy St Patrick's day to you! I love corned beef. I hope you still had that alongside all your green veg!
Great to see the daffodils and your pretty blanket. Happy St Patrick's day!
Beautiful photos. Love the crochet. It's really pretty. Looks like you're all ready for St.Patrick's Day and Spring!
Happy Five on Friday
I think God must have been in a really good mood when he created daffodils. So bright and cheery, they can stand up to really nasty weather, deer don't eat the plants, and gophers and moles don't eat the bulbs. AND they come early, like little messengers to let us know that spring is on the way.
And for St. Patrick's Day, I am green with envy. You have a Trader Joe's and I don't.
Happy holiday
I adore daffodils and when they come to the stores I am more than ready for them. The massive commercial fields are not in bloom yet, but soon. I always have a bouquet or two of daffodils as long as they are blooming. Your decorations are so sweet, and your teapot and the afghan is wonderful - I like the flowers and the blue. Happy St. Patrick's Day.
What a wonderful and happy post!
Your mosaics are lovely. I like especially the pictures hanging on the wall. :)
It's too late to wish you a Happy St Patrick's day, but I wish you a sunny and cheerful weekend.
Your Afghan is beautiful and I love the colours. Daffodils are such cheerful flowers, like little patches of sunshine.
Oh what a beautiful afghan! The bow and Oliver set it off, for sure:)
Wow such a fun post! I love your mosaic styles and your afghan is beautiful. I love, love the white bow you added!
Happy St. Paddy's Day! I love all of your little rabbits and the way you have photographed them. And that afghan is simply beautiful!
Fracuppinos are my favourite Starbucks beverages so the green tea frapp is right up my alley. I'm also admiring your Belleek and Easter display. So pretty!
A lovely St. Patrick's Day post! Love all your pretties - the beautiful shamrock teapot and cup, your daffodils and little figurines. And that Afghan is just delightful! So very sweet! xx Karen
i love your afghan and my favorite part is that sweet little bow too! we do corned beef sandwiches for st patrick's day...i always found the corned beef that i'd cook to be too greasy so one year we switched to sandwiches and they make everyone happy :) love all your spring/easter decorations! thank you for linking up and have a great week ahead!
I hope you had a wonderful St Patrick's Day, did you enjoy your green meal? It sounded delish.
The afghan is so pretty such joyful colours. Seeing all your lovely Easter décor has reminded me that I need to get in the loft and find mine. I do have plenty of daffodils in the house though thanks to the wind and rain this past weekend. I had to rescue lots of them from being battered down in the garden.
Happy Mosaic Monday.
The afghan looks wonderful, I also think that the daffodils look great next to the bunnies :)
I adore all your lovely spring photos! I just picked pussy willows yesterday... daffodils will be a little while off but we will see 50 degrees today. Yay!
Your crocheted quilt is beautiful. My mother made one for me many years ago with each flower being a different petal color... it's a treasure for sure!
I'm late to the St Pat's Party here, but its never to late for an Irish Blessing -- thanks for that and for the beautiful daffodils -- I love and miss them -- they really don't grow here in SW Florida and of course are long gone by the time we get home to Oregon in June.
I enjoyed reading your post! What a cute chick and rabbit in that first photo! They're so cheery. Your Cottage Charm afghan is gorgeous! I see that Mr. O. thinks it's his. :-)) I hope you have a lovely week.
It's lovely to see the glowing daffodils again.
Beautiful crochet!
Happy St Patricks Day! That green tea frappacino looks delicious!
You put all of the pretty things into this post...kitty cat, bunnies, daffodils and Starbucks! Love the beautiful Afghan too...such a beautiful design. thanks for bringing some joy in my afternoon! Hugs, Diane
I must make a point to get a green tea frappachino next St Patrick's Day! Yours is the second I've seen and the photos made my mouth water.
I love your pretty daffodils. Mine are beginning to appear in my garden. Last year at this time they were under snow!
Your newest crochet afghan is so beautiful! It reminds me of a day in June.
Hi Snap, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog, that is how I found yours! Reading your profile it looks like we have a few things in common: interest in Buddhism, gardening, animal lovers...
That green tea frappuccino from Starbucks looks delicious, so tempting. Too bad I am taking a Starbucks break, but I am enjoying lots of tea at home. Talking about that, I love your tea pot with the green little clover leaves. So adorable!
And I love your little plonks of daffodils. Your are right daffs are the most cheerful flowers and I love to have them in the house right now to announce spring!
I am off to sign up as your follower...
Hopefully until soon,
Christina
I love your Easter decorations. And your mosaic is so fun! Have a happy week!
What a fun post! Your bunnies are so cute! Love the lapghan. I can't imagine making all of those roses! I love tulips but daffodils are a close second. I saw Tasha Tudor in person one time! Happy Spring!
