It is too hot and humid here.
Not fit for man or beast or the garden.
So, when the latest email from Pier One arrived,
I thought it might help cool me down.
Christmas in July!
So far, the cooling down hasn't worked!
2. Last week I was opening my first box from My Texas Market.
This week the kitties are opening their Kit Nip Box.
No surprise that Mina was the first to check it out.
She went directly for the cat-nip elephant.
It didn't take long for Cassie and Teddy to join in the fun.
3. A whole of something has been going on in the water garden.
I wonder if the fish will eat the eggs???
4. In the atrium, an anole was knocking at the door.
"It's hot out here! Let me in!"
5. I finished another lovie.
This time a panda.
His eyes are a little wonky and his grin is lopsided,
but not bad for the first try.
So far, I've made three owls -- all delivered far and wide.
Have another owl to make and then I think I might try a puppy.

Wonky eye or not he's lovely! Hope all goes well for the tadpoles hiding beneath your water lilies.

I LOVE Christmas, but don't rush things. Summer needs to be enjoyed, it will pass!
I loved seeing the photos of your beautiful cats! Lilly send her meows to each of you! Pat xx
I love the panda, such a great idea for little ones. I am a sun worshipper but the humidity is a killer, I am thinking Christmas in July but it is not helping.
The panda is adorable. One of my goals is to learn to knit or crochet little animals for new babies. So much more interesting than a blanket.
Lots going on around your place, even in the heat. We haven't had much heat. It's been sunny though, and mainly dry until this morning. Stay cool!
I have a feeling my kitty would enjoy the kit nip box too. Love the Panda. My husband is raising a bunch of tadpoles he rescued.
I think I love the kitty package the most. It's so fun seeing animals get surprised.
I always go to Pier One before Xmas to shop -- they have such lovely seasonal things there!
Hear, hear on the too hot and humid part. Same here.
Love the kitties checking out their box and your panda is cute!
Lots of lovely things to distract you in spite of the heat! The panda is so cute!
Happy weekend!
I love Christmas but can't think about it until September
I've never been much of the xmas in july person. The only time I ever took part were re-runs on TV
I could look at Christmas items all year round! Your kitties seemed to really enjoy their package. Your panda lovie is so cute. I'm sure there are very happy children receiving these gifts, Sanp!
I'm sure our cats would enjoy the kit nip box, it looks like yours had fun:)
You won my prize of "First to mention Christmas". Happy Days. Good looking anole.
so memorable esp cats opening loved it
Love your kitty photos! The lovey is adorable. I have craft envy! I keep saying I should try to learn how to crochet (again!), but I never seem to get the hang of it. Have a wonderful weekend! :)
Love your panda lovie!
The soft critters are my favorite. Those spiky or slimy ones are a little creepy. Hope you get relief from the hot and humid!
Fascinating and creative post and great photos! Love your cats and their treats!
Happy Daze to you ~ ^_^
Kitty watching even beats people watching.
you look like you have found some fun things to keep you occupied in this heat, it's all about attitude. i always have plenty of fun things to keep me busy indoors, looking outside at the blue skies and sunshine is enough to keep me happy!!
the panda's are adorable, small imperfections make them unique and special!! if you saw these at a thrift store in 30 years (maybe we should go with 20 years) you would know they were yours.....and that my friend, is a beautiful thing!!!
many thanks for visiting me!!!
loved the image of the frogs and the lissard :)
Cutest ever crochet. I love the idea of the kitty box, we got bark box here for a while and they are tearing into the toys with fun abandon. Even we were hot here 95 ish which for us is like being in the swamp. I'm sure we'll never catch up with you all there in Texas though. xox
Hello Snap, it is hot hot hot here too! I miss outdoors. You have some wonderful nature images. Kitties must love their treats. Your Christmas images do bring a breeze of cool air : )
Hugs,
Terri
Great pix - and wonderful lovie - I don't have the patience for all those little parts - glad someone does - they are so cute.
Hello, the hot weather has been bad lately. Wonderful series of kitties captures. I love the frogs and the anole. Sorry, I am just catching up after being away. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy day and week ahead!
Lots of little surprises there - love seeing the kitties gathering around the package! Hope it cools off soon, there! x Karen
What lovely photographs you have shared! I love the tales of your cats, and that Anole - wow! So jealous. I have never seen a lizard in England, can you believe it? It's been humid here also, hope you cool down soon! x
Love the photo of your kitties opening their Kit-Nip box! (and the photos of the other critters in your garden). I need to investigate getting a 'gift box' for my dogs-- becuase of course they need more toys and treats!
