They are marked Aynsley Pembroke reproduction of an 18th century design.

Beautiful. Reminds me of my husbands grandmother . She was a teacup collector. I always loved to get a cup with a beautiful design inside. Like finding a special gift.

Like you, I love Aynsley Pembroke -- second only to my love of blue and white! You're lucky to find some in a thrift shop and I adore your little teapot.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe in January I found a set of Aysnley Pembroke for 8 in a flea market for the TOTAL price of $30! Yes, just $30 and I didn't get it (no room, I thought) and so the next week had to go back to get it and it was still there!
It sets a very pretty table, methinks!

What a great picture--thanks for sharing! I LOVE that teacup! Sometimes the cups with the designs in the cup itself are extra pretty--I'm imagining drinking a light white tea while enjoying that pretty pattern :)
