Summertime Tea

It's Summertime around here.
Highs in the 90s and lets NOT talk about the humidity.
Anytime is a good time for tea, even the summer.
I start the day with a hot cup of tea and then lots of iced tea during the day.

Grace Tea For One

This is called Chickadee Tea Service for one.
I found it at the Victorian Trading Company.
(Just in time for my birthday!)

Grace Set

The service includes the lidded mug, saucer, and tea strainer.
It's made by Grace.
I'm in love with the little Chickadee.

Grace Tea for One

The little Chickadee looks good on my red, white and blue crochet placemat.

Star Spangled Girl

But it really looks nice with Star Spangled Girl!
All set for the 4th of July.

Wishing YOU well, much joy and a wonderful cup of tea!

A big thank you to our tea party hosts:

  2. Ahhhh...so the heat has found you. You knew it would. Glad that you have found ways to enjoy the season all the same. That is a sweet little tea set. The chickadee must be a specific one because, while it is very pretty, it does not resemble the ones that fill my trees here. I'll have to foogle chickadees.

  3. I'm sure that little chickadee set had your name writ large on it! Nothing could be more appropriate for you and your love of tea and all creatures.

  4. I saw that as well and thought it was so cute! But prettier than in the catalog. I don't do heat and humidity...last time I was in Miami, went to walk 4 blocks to a restaurant in April at 10am and nearly fainted...had heat stroke! That's what comes of being a Brit living in the Pacific Northwest!
Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

  5. Such a pretty, pretty tea set. I don't think I have seen one quite like it. The "blue" chickadee is an interesting color. Sorry about all that heat. I hope it doesn't get here too soon.

  7. What a perfect birthday gift for yourself, Snap! It is just darling. I'm like you, in starting the day with hot tea, and iced tea the rest of the day, in the hot months, here in Texas.

  8. In deed, this is a delightful teacup and saucer! The pattern of the chickadee with the blue and gold trim is lovely. I will go to the site and take a look for that one is new to me. I love the idea of the strainer for it will be so convenient for teatime. Have a special week!

  9. An adorable chickadee teacup with the built in infuser. Do you make your iced tea from scratch? After drinking homemade in Florida this past winter I much prefer it to the crystals we've always used from the grocery store.
I don't do well with heat and humidity either.

  10. I love your chickadee teacup and having a lid is so handy! I also drink hot tea year around. I love iced tea too, but nothing beats a hot cuppa!
