One of my favorite things...
This is a Miltonia Orchid, sometimes called a pansy orchid.
When I brought her home from Trader Joe's she had one flower spike opened.
She now has two more spikes open and 2 more coming.
She is quite impressive and fragrant!

Very much enjoyed your post. I was glad to be reminded of St Patricks day. I had actually forgotten all about that and now that you have reminded me, I thought of something fun to do about this with my grandson who is going to be staying with me over spring break. So fun. also , love your teapot. I have quite a large collection of tea pots, and really enjoy tea. Happy day!

Tea tasting sounds like a fun thing to do, but please don't get too jitter with so much caffeine :)

I am counting the days until corned beef! I love hearing that apple commercial, it's Robin Williams from Dead Poety's Soceity, isn't it? Love that movie. I have to remember to stop by Trader Joe's for flowers. We got one in town not long ago. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMercifully, there is more to St. Pat's day...soda bread for one! Tea is liquid wisdom...love that line. You would have laughed to hear my grandson trying to drink his wee bit of tea..."I just can't get it down the hatch." Your orchid is spectacular!

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Snap! I am not a corned beef fan but I am Irish and I love cabbage and potatoes, I substitute kielbasa for the corned beef.. :) Looking forward to your Granny Squares! A pansy orchid.. how cool. She must be happy at your house!

That orchid is gorgeous and I can see why it would be referred to as a "Pansy" face orchid.
Pretty orchid. I've heard they take some work to get to thrive, so I've never tried one. I do hope you find some wonderful teas!
