Saying Goodbye to Summer

Most of you are saying goodbye to summer.
I said goodbye to UGHust and am now welcoming sizzling, stuffy September.

When I think of summer, I think of beaches and sea shells ... like this one.

  4. September is shaping up to be our hottest month this summer! Temps in the triple digits and you know how much I "love" that.

A nice cool walk along the beach is just what I need.

  14. I collected a fair number of shells this summer, and many of them will go into my 'shell path'. One day I'll have to blog about it.
I found a rather large shell and had a lot of fun with my youngest grandchild, who loved to 'hear the ocean' with the shell held up to his ear.

  17. Shells remind me of Florida as we don't have any on the beach of our inland lake and you created a nice little vignette here.
Our September has started out cool, only 52F this morning which is unusual for us. We generally ease into cooler temps but at least it stopped raining.
