Old Country Rose

I've been out cutting roses from the garden.
It's so hot they don't last long outside.
Why not bring them inside and
enjoy a cup of tea in the lovely old-fashioned Old Country Rose by Royal Albert.
The tea is even rosey -- Rose Petal Tea by The Republic of Tea.

Old Country Rose

"A red rose is not selfish because it wants to be a red rose.
It would be horribly selfish if it wanted all the other flowers in the garden
to be both red and roses."
~ Oscar Wilde

Thank you to our tea party hosts:

Wishing YOU well, much joy and a wonderful cup of tea!

I have noticed that the cut roses are very much enjoying the AC. What a beautiful cup of tea! I'd be tempted if I were there...

It's hot here too, and boy does that tea go done well. Lovely rose, I hear you with them not lasting long.

Oh I love Royal Albert Old Country Roses. I have a few luncheon plates and a mug but I can't seem to find teacups. Have a great week.

Lovely! A classic patterned china, and gorgeous roses! I don't like rose petal tea, but I know a lot of folks do. I am so sorry you are having a problem linking...I certainly don't know why...computer! A bane and a blessing! But thanks for your visit and kind comments!

My daughter chose this lovely old-fashioned pattern for her wedding china several years ago. The adviser tried to gently steer her into something more modern, but she was adamant. She's just an old-fashioned girl who loves roses.

That's a beautiful pattern and I agree...why not have the roses indoors where they can be enjoyed a little longer! xo

I love your Royal Albert, Snap! Your roses are gorgeous and I'm with you...might as well enjoy them indoors! I enjoyed the poem, too.

Hi Snap,
LOVE your beautiful Old Country Roses! I have one and it always reminds me of my father who loved this pattern. Such pretty photos too! The Oscar Wilde quote, I really enjoyed. I haven't seen that one before. Thank you for sharing and coming by for tea.

Blessings,

Hi Snap,
What a beautiful teacup and your choice of tea sounds wonderful! I think I must live in the coldest area of the US. My roses are only now starting to bud! I loved seeing yours!

Hi Snap
I thought I already left a comment as I've read your post before now. That's what happens when you multi-task and you can't remember where you left off.
I like the Oscar Wilde quote!
A nice match with your red roses and the same colour in the teacup.

Lovely tea images Snap! Your Old Country Roses tea cup is very pretty along side your red roses. Our roses don't last long outside either. It gets really hot here too.
Great OW quote!
