The Houston Zoo had a cocktail party to celebrate the reopening of the
Sea Lion exhibit -- a new pool, covered areas for the public, new paint job.
When the zoo celebrates they bring out their Ambassadors and one of them is
this beautiful, female Great Horned Owl.
It was a fun evening.
Thank you to Misty for hosting Camera Critters each week.
Wishing YOU well and a joy filled weekend.
she's lovely.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful creature Snap! Cocktails with an owl sounds like fun, especially with Halloween on the horizon :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool way to celebrate at zoo!
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty! Sounds like a fun evening!
ReplyDeleteSooo cool! I am all up in the owls business around the house here right now-there are three of them, and one likes to land on Cowboy's water pump when I'm walking at night, and just sit. I don't know if he's protecting me or if he's trying to figure out how to carry me away, but somehow i dont get a creepy vibe. But he is HUGE so i talk to him nicely and ask him how his family is and how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bird...and how nice that she was invited to the party!
