National wear red day was Feb 3, 2012. The American Heart Association wants to uncover the truth about heart disease. More women die of heart disease than the next three causes of death combined including all forms of cancer. The Red Heart Dresses were photographed when I walked to my Village to have breakfast.
Thank you to the Our World hosts.
Wishing YOU well and a JOY filled week.

I didn't know Feb. 3rd was such a special day. I love those dresses!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great idea. The only fear I would have would be in those countries where red represents a certain perspective for example Thailand that has factions of red shirts and yellow shirts.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard about "wear red day"
ReplyDeleteLike Lara over here says; a nice way of raising awareness!
And a perfect picture for the challenge -"Our World"

ReplyDeleteHow I wish I knew. I would have worn red!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in July. The dr. feels he may have this CHF because of a virus. This is all so strange to me watching his diet, salt and liquid intake. We are young too. It has all been quite a shock! he is doing better now that he has a pacemaker. It's amazing how your life can change in a blink of an eye.
Great Photos by the way. :)
Neat shots, and it does seem like a good way to raise awareness.
