This and That

I'm going to start with a little blog love. We've all made friends from all over the world in blogland. Blogging makes the world much smaller. I met Deb at Just Cats on a Tuesday when we both posted about Tea. She found me and I found her and in addition to tea, we both LOVE cats.

Aren't the kitties Deb is fostering adorable? I wish I lived close (Deb's in Canada). I would have adopted little Bree, but I understand that Bree has been adopted and will be on her way to a good home.

Deb posts about kitties and tea and other beautiful things and one day had a link to another blog and off I went to visit Jacqueline at Cabin and Cottage.

From Jacqueline at Cabin and Cottage

I found beautiful things and a surprise. I read Jacqueline's profile and found out that she is an antique dealer in Albuquerque, New Mexico ... my old home town. I lived there for 23 years. Went to junior high and high school there and graduated from the University of New Mexico. It is where I met Mr. Dragon. Such a small world.

I invite you to visit with Deb and Jacqueline. I think you will enjoy your visit.

Do you get cravings? Mine are usually chocolate or salt. And I always feed them when they appear. When chocolate raises it's head and demands action, I usually eat a couple of Butterfingers and it's all over! The same with salt. I feed it and it's gone, but this time ... this time I'm hooked!
I'm hooked on Lay's Garden Tomato and Basil Potato Chips!

I've read the online reviews of these chips and they seem equally divided between very good and very bad! They are salty and sort of remind me of Bruschetta! They say they are all natural, but I have my doubts. I'm also going through a sandwich craving so while I'm sandwiching (this too shall pass and I'll go into a soup or omelet stage), I'm enjoying my new craving!

I finished another Christmas Afghan. The yarn colors are just a little bit different from the first one ... not as bright. I used the same pattern ... a Mile a Minute crochet pattern I found in an old Leisure Arts Crochet Pattern book. They go quickly. I have a few more to do. Keep the fingers busy!

Christmas Afghan

Wishing YOU well and a JOY filled week!

  1. Thanks so much for the 'shout-out'. We do have many things in common, don't we. I wish you lived closer too so you could drop in for a cuppa and meet these little monkeys. Have a great day and thanks again. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4

  2. Mmmm, that new kind of Lay's chips sounds good! We don't have them in Canada yet -- at least I've never seen them here.

I haven't even seen those new chips but then I haven't been looking either. Me and salt aren't on good terms right now!

  10. Snap, your crocheted quilts are so beautiful! I always wish I had the patience to learn how to crochet or knit.

Your new blog friends sound delightful --I shall have to visit them.

I am a salt lover but it doesn't love me so I must stay away from those chips--they sound like ones I'd devour with glee!

  11. Those sleeping kittens are just gorgeous, Snap. As for another afghan produced, I'm impressed. My fingers have not been moving at all on yarn projects. Arghhh. Must pick up needles this autumn.

  12. delightful post - and you are right - the wonderful thing about blogging is the connections we make across the world.
I love you tea cups, and the rugs remind me of my Aunt who was always making rugs - all the grandchildren and nieces, nephews, greats.... etc received one.
Have a wonderful week, and thankyou for stopping by my blog to say hi!

  14. I couldn't agree more that the people we meet in Blogland are just amazing. I have had the pleasure of meeting 3 in person, and they were just as wonderful in person as they were online. When I sent out my giveaways a few weeks ago, the post lady asked me--how is it that you know these people in CA, Australia, and in the San Juan Islands? It was fun to tell her :).

And like you, chocolate and salt are my downfall! I have tried the garden tomato and basil chips, not my fave unfortunately, still a salt and vinegar girl :).

The Christmas afghan is amazing!!! Beautiful work!!
    xoxo
