Fortune Teller

At least I think she is a fortune teller!

Fortune Teller

There are a lot of things I like about this Halloween postcard...
the pumpkin blooms and vine
all the black cats on her dress
and the funny one sitting next to her
the playing cards I assume she uses to tell fortunes
apples, the clock, the bat, jack-o-lantern.
I'm not sure about the snake in her hand.
In many ways she is quite modern looking, but this another reproduction postcard.

Thank you to the lovely Beth for hosting

Wishing YOU well and a fun filled weekend!

  3. I love the girl's dress in the card! My son got his fortune from a fortune telling machine at Disneyland...he thought it was the coolest thing because it described him perfectly!!

  4. It appears to be a litho card, but even looking at it on flickr doesn't get close enough. Is the artist listed on the back? Nice Halloween card regardless!

  5. I think it's apple peel in her hand and she's about to throw it over her shoulder to see her true love's initials. :) Until that came to mind, all I could think of was "Hubble bubble, toil and trouble".
