The lovely postmistress, Marie, is our hostess for Postcard Friendship Friday. Marie has had an interest in Arkansas lately. I didn't have a card from Arkansas so I visited the New York Public Library again for the postcard below. I like trains!
"Near Lancaster Arkansas on the St. Louis - Texas Line of the Frisco" Fred Harvey"
Happy PFF!

ReplyDeleteMmmmm, it's nice to lose yourself in these cards. I can imagine myself on a train, in a sleeper car, clickety-clack with the back and forth sway. I travelled by train a lot as a child, nice memories. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love trains and these kind of vintage cards too. Happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteLove those vintage post cards, they had so much going on in the landscape. Always a river or stream
ReplyDeleteto pass by on the train.
Hope all went well yesterday, prayers with you and Mr. Dragon.
Planes, trains and automobiles - any trip is good with me!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the old postcards, Snap.. They don't make them like that anymore, do they???? I seldom get a postcard these days --although I see them for sale at tourist places. People just don't snail-mail much anymore at all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a great postcard! Thanks for sharing--happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteI love old post cards too and this one is a prize. Also, calendars: can't get enough. I've asked this before, 'are we twins separated at birth?'
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, my snappy friend!
I also love trains. As for postcards, I have a photo album of postcards that my online friends sent to my dad as he was battling cancer. Receiving a new one, from a new place, brightened his days. I treasure this book of postcards as much as my dad did. Have awonderful weekend:)
ReplyDeleteLove the muted tones of this postcard...And I just love the NY Public Library site. I've only used it a couple of times but I've really enjoyed playing around with it. Happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteA really beautiful view! I like train journeys too.

ReplyDeletei just love those old fred harvey cards! do you think the train is behind a tree? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful scenery. This could almost be a shot taken along Rte. 153 in my state of New Hampshire where the tracks follow the water. Happy belated PFF!
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear the clickety clack of the train rumbling by too! This brings back such wonderful memories:) What a resourceful gal you are! I'm still obsessed with Arkansas for some reason! I want to move there:)
