Postcard Friendship Friday

The lovely postmistress, Marie, is our hostess for Postcard Friendship Friday. Marie has had an interest in Arkansas lately. I didn't have a card from Arkansas so I visited the New York Public Library again for the postcard below. I like trains!

"Near Lancaster Arkansas on the St. Louis - Texas Line of the Frisco" Fred Harvey"

Happy PFF!

  1. Mmmmm, it's nice to lose yourself in these cards. I can imagine myself on a train, in a sleeper car, clickety-clack with the back and forth sway. I travelled by train a lot as a child, nice memories. Thanks!

  4. Love those vintage post cards, they had so much going on in the landscape. Always a river or stream
to pass by on the train.

Hope all went well yesterday, prayers with you and Mr. Dragon.

  6. I love seeing the old postcards, Snap.. They don't make them like that anymore, do they???? I seldom get a postcard these days --although I see them for sale at tourist places. People just don't snail-mail much anymore at all.

    Thanks for sharing.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  8. I love old post cards too and this one is a prize. Also, calendars: can't get enough. I've asked this before, 'are we twins separated at birth?'
    Happy Friday, my snappy friend!

  9. I also love trains. As for postcards, I have a photo album of postcards that my online friends sent to my dad as he was battling cancer. Receiving a new one, from a new place, brightened his days. I treasure this book of postcards as much as my dad did. Have awonderful weekend:)

  15. Wonderful scenery. This could almost be a shot taken along Rte. 153 in my state of New Hampshire where the tracks follow the water. Happy belated PFF!
