One of my sisters-by-choice, is a Jamestown, New York girl. She spent several weeks there recently and sent me these postcards. We lovingly call ourselves Lucy and Ethel (she's Lucy and I'm Ethel). Not only do I enjoy Lucy and the gang from the television show (always good for a laugh), but I Love *MY* Lucy.
This post card is called The Nursery School.
The back of the card reads
Nursery School (aired December 5, 1955).
The back of the card reads: "The Lucy-Desi Museum, Jamestown, New York whose mission is to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and enrich the world through the healing powers of love and laughter."
More information about the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center can be found by clicking here.
We could all use more of the healing powers of love and laughter.

I would love to see that museum. And wouldn 't it have been fun to see Lucy in a high school play? Great postcard and happy PFF!
I love my Lucy too...and I have a friend who is Lucy to my Ethel and sometimes I am Ethel to her Lucy.
I still find myself glued to a tv if there is a rerun of I Love Lucy.
I almost went to this museum this summer but didn't have time on the way home from the beach. I think I need to make a special trip -- it's not that far from my home when it comes right down to it.
I didn't know they had a museum for Lucy.
That was one of my favorite shows, long after it aired--as I'm a bit too young. Their humor was unparalleled, and Lucy's smile and goofy ways always made me grin.
Thank you for this wonderful history and postcard! Happy PFF!!
I always loved to tune in to Lucy's antics..most were corny but they always brought a smile to my face! I had no clue there was a museum!
Cute post, Snap... We all loved "I Love Lucy"---and there haven't been any similarly good shows since I don't think.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
Wow, i did not know there was a L&D museum in Jamestown. I have seen Lucy in a few old movies as a chorus girl - a little strange if one has only seen her in the TV show.
I love Lucy too! :-)
And I love your postcards.....
These are such fun cards. Thanks for sharing them.
Have a beautiful weekend
Great show & great postcard too! I didn't know where Lucy was from. This was interesting.
I think I saw "I Love Lucy" once as a youngster at my grandparents home. We had no TV reception where I grew up, so we didn't have one.
Great postcards !!
I'm not so familiar with 'Lucy' .
That museum sounds like a MUST see! I sooo want to visit it now! Hmmm.. I'm goinng to youtube a few I Love Lucy's this morning with my coffee! Hapy happy PFF!
