Little Things

It's The Little Things like this:

azaleas

azalea

That make things like this ... bearable!

Neighborhood Action

It really hasn't been too bad.
They don't work on the weekend.
Closing off one lane of traffic has made crossing the street easier.
(Always look on the bright side.)
Rebuilding the street will take awhile.

*

I have my pond cleaned once a year.
I try to schedule the cleaning before it gets too hot and humid.
Cody does a fine job.

Cody

This year, in addition to my six gold fish,
Cody found eight crawfish.
We have no idea where they came from.
We blame everything "abnormal" on the waters of Hurricane Harvey.

Water Lily

The waterlily isn't the only bloom in the garden.

Amaryllis

I save the amaryllis I get at Christmas and put them in the garden.
With a little luck,
a year later,
they bloom again.

Azaleas In Bloom

Wishing YOU well and much joy!

We are dealing with road construction in our area, too. No doubt the result will be a great improvement. Meantime, as you say, we look for the little things to bring us joy.

Snap your garden is in full bloom and it brings joy to my heart. Can you believe we had snow in NY just a few days ago. I'm looking forward to spring finally joining us.

Wow, those azaleas are really colorful. They are yelling 'Hey folks, it's spring'.

Dazzled by the beautiful color here! Such joy (the construction? Not so much!)

...OK rub it in with those beautiful azaleas as I look out at snow falling! Rebuilding always takes a while. 'Abnormal' seems to occur all the time. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your week and please stop again.

Beautiful flowers!
A town near us has had torn up streets for months. Very aggravating, but one of the projects is to make the street crossings easier for handicapped people, and that is a good thing!
Have a wonderful day!

Your blooms are stunning. - We need street repair but I dread the thought of it being torn up so for now I'm just happy to drive over the bumps.

Oh my your spring looks so pretty. We had the street redone where we lived a while back. It was a very long process. It was beautiful when all was said and done though.

The water lily is stunning - nice job, photogirl! Crayfish in a pond ... fascinating - I suppose the hurricane is as good an explanation as any ... such as a bird passing by?

It will be awhile before we see beautiful flowers like that here!

A major highway near us is being expanded to have a third toll lane--the population in Colorado is booming along the front range. Soon it will be like NYC--ack!

Crawfish! Maybe birds dropped them or carried their eggs?

All the pink flowers (azaleas?) would surely brighten up one's outlook in spite of the roadwork. Hopefully, it won't go on all summer. How wonderful to have an amaryllis rebloom in your garden. Happy spring days to you!

Bloomin' lovely! What a show your garden is putting on for you. Love the pretty water lily and the triumphant amaryllis.

Azaleas, a water lily, a red Amaryllis… are so beautiful. I’d like to see gold fish, crawfish, and water lilies when the pond is filled with water after cleaning. Must be so lovely.

Beautiful flowers ... your yard is a wonder...like a Nature Park/Arboretum including a beautiful pond! (What did you do with the crawfish?)

What beautiful flowers, Snap! Those Springtime blossoms sure help with the construction. I just had my itty bitty waterfall and pond repaired and cleaned on Friday. I had to have a new liner installed, but it was worth it because I just love that little oasis I have.

Do the crawfish stay or go in the pond? The road work looks like a trial. Hang in there. Thanks for sharing at Keep In Touch. Beautiful flower photos.
