While the weather was bad --
I tried to stay busy by reading, knitting and drinking tea.
In other words, I was entertaining myself!
This is a pattern I found on a Caron Cake label.
Caron calls it a "scarf/shawl" and made with one cake.
I made one earlier in autumn colors and thought this color way
looked more like winter.

I can depend on my kitties to supervise.
Mina is reminding me that I have ends to weave in
and Oliver thinks he should play with those ends first.
I saw the cutest crochet project on FB and wanted to share it with you.
When I looked for the post, I couldn't find it!
I had to wait until the pattern book arrived from Amazon so I could share.
Isn't this fun?!
All these adorable beetles, bugs and butterflies.
Did you ever think the word adorable and beetle would go together?!

Fun patterns written using US terms.
One of the things I like the most,
it is a great kids book, too.
It follows the insects as they grow up and transform from tiny bugs
to beautiful butterflies, ladybugs and beetles.
You can crochet a complete life cycle of a butterfly or a snail.

I think this will be a great stash buster, too!
Wishing YOU well and much joy!

Those crochet beetles are so cute! I've never seen anything like that!
Would love to try this pattern. Is it online.
Love the shawl - and those are indeed the cutest little bugs.
Hello, love your shawl and cute kitties. The beetle patterns are so cute. Looks like a fun project. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
I don't crochet but when I see cute little toys like that, I wonder if maybe I should start and keep the Baby Grand in toys. (He needs stuffies like a hole in the head!) But they're so cute.
I love your project and the beautiful photo with the cats. Nice lighting. They are a treat when crafting, aren't they? Lizzie had a ball with ribbons while I was making my valentine banner!
Looks like those kittens want make the scarf their own, the colours complement their fur so well. The bug book is delightful and I can see it bringing hours of pleasure to all the family. Would love to see some crocheted bugs in an MM post one day.
That book is adorable! So many cute images and sweet things to make. When you're through with it, I'll cut it up for one of my books...I'm KIDDING! I wouldn't be able to cut it up! haha! I wish I had learned how to do more than basic crochet! Hugs, Diane

Your shawl/scarf is really lovely; I like your colour choices. Crocheted bugs are the cutest things and look like they would be fun to make.
These bugs are so cute. Children everywhere will love them and want them,
Snap - glad to know ours are not the only furbabies that like to sit on whatever we are working on - laptop, papers, cross-stitch ... And these crochet designs are SOOOO cute. I don't crochet, but my Mom can do anything and I think she would really like these!
I can’t crochet, but those are so cute!

What a cute beetles and bug crochet book! It's so nice it includes a storyline to read to children. I know you will make some adorable ones, Snap--you are so talented!
I think my only talent is cooking--and eating--lol!
These Beatles and butterflies look sweet :)
Dearest Snap; Oh, Lovely crochet and I smiled to read you said "I can depend on my kitties to supervise."(♡^.^♡) I wish to have one sweet cat but my husband doesn't want to.
