I've been busy knitting.
I finished another shawl except for the blocking and
started another.
Will I have enough made before Christmas?
Not sure,
but they'll be ready for Christmas 2017!
The finished shawl is made from some stash yarn: Bernat Satin Sport in Jade.
Very soft and light weight - perfect if you live in the "tropics" like I do!
(Otherwise known as the Texas Gulf Coast.)
The off white shawl is made with Patons Classic Wool,
DK Superwash in the color Aran.
Heavier and will go to live with someone who has cold weather.

As it gets closer to Christmas,
I'm trying to decide what my next crochet project will be.
I spent too much time at pinterest and came up with these as my first choice.
The pattern for the snowman afghan can be found here.
The pattern for the teapot cosy can be found here.
The Gingerbread Family ornaments can be found here.
Decisions decisions!
It's obvious I should start thinking about Christmas in January
if I'm going to make wonderful things.
From the Fortune Cookie Journal:
"You can't start a new chapter if you're stuck at the table of contents."
Wishing YOU well and much joy!

Isn't that a lucky someone to be getting a shawl made by you! Both are very pretty. Have fun with your next project, whatever you decide upon.

Your finished shawl is lovely and i like the looks of the next one too! Such special gifts. I hope the recipients appreciate the time you have spent! I try to make a number of things for Christmas gifts too, some years I get more done than others... :)
My vote goes to the gingerbread family, they are just too cute!
Happy Mosaic Monday!
Love that snowman afghan. You are much more industrious than me. Someone would find my 1/2 finished projects after I'm gone...
Snap, I don't get by to visit very often but when I do you always have something wonderful. I love the snowman blanket and the tea cozy. Maybe I'll start them for next year!
Hello,Snap,
You are so talented! How wonderful all of your knits are! I am sure I will get the tea cozy if I find it at a shop. So cute!!!! Have a good new week!
Oh that fortune cookie is so true! Love the shawls. I'm looking for a nice easy one I can do on a circular needle. B X
Happy Knitting.
Your work is exquisite - thanks for sharing the beauty!
What fun projects - love the designs on the shawls.
Beautiful shawls. I was certainly impressed with all your choices for your next crochet project but my heart fell in love with a the gingerbread ornaments, a real delight.
Your shawls are beautifully created, Snap. I think that crocheted snowman afghan is very cute. So bright and pretty for Christmas. You're right about starting to think about the season in January - my list is much larger than what I can possibly accomplish.
The teapot cozy looked like a really fun project! So cute! Looks like you have lots to do to keep your hands busy creating beautiful things! Your shawl looks lovely so far :)
Love the snowman and tea pot cozy. Oh Christmas knits, not sure if I am up to it this year. But, you have some lovely knits for gift giving!!!!
you've been quite the busy maker! love the shawls and it makes me want to cast one on but first I need to finish some gifts I currently have on the needles :)
Your shawls are beautiful with lovely workmanship! Really cute projects you've found too. I'd like to do projects throughout the year but for some reason I don't get motivated until November and then it's nonstop to complete all that I would like.
Your gift recipients are very lucky to receive your beautiful handmade gifts. My mother-in-law worked year round on crochet projects. Thanks for sharing at Monday Social.
