Outside my window this morning,
the sun is shining.
Fall made a quick fly by yesterday bringing us cooler weather and rain.
Cooler weather for three days is better than none.
I'm enjoying the water garden.
The water lilies are on their last blooms.
They like a lot of sun and as the sun moves toward winter
the lilies just don't get enough light.

A new fur-babe has been added to our household.
His name is Oliver.
He is a Rag Doll with a little Siamese thrown in.
Oliver is a cuddly, sweet boy who has done a good job at
ignoring the hot air being blown at him by his adopted siblings.
He simply raises his fluffy tail and marches right through the middle.
Zoom!
Christmas is just around the corner.
Pure Wow had some helpful ideas on how to shop early for Christmas.
You can read the entire article here.
Here's six suggestions:
Make your gift list now.
Listen attentively to family and friends for hints.

Know everyone's sizes.
Buy in bulk. This one is for those who know they will need hostess gifts.
Consider Thanksgiving weekend your shopping deadline.

I finished the dark blue shawl and started another.
The dark blue shawl was made with Patons Classic Wool Mallard Teal.
The light color is Bernat Satin Sport that I found in my stash.

Ice cream can solve all the world's problems!
Oliver is beautiful. We have an Oliver at our house, too. He is a major part of our entertainment - always into something.
Oliver is such a handsome addition to the family. I look forward to getting to know him here. :)
Awww -Oliver looks sweet. I'm not even close to ready to think about Christmas!! Everything is better with ice cream!
I'm thinking Christmas gifts too, been sorting patterns and ideas. Wouldn't it be lovely if all problems could be sorted out with a dish of ice cream. I'm visiting from Five on Friday.
I have made a start with Christmas, I like to craft some of my gifts. I love the idea of problems been sorted with ice-cream.
Oliver is gorgeous!
Oliver is adorable!
and what is your favorite ice cream flavor? I couldn't choose in a million years! Oh how you make me want to knit again but alas, the hands are creepy old with age and won't do what I want them to.
How sweet to have a new kitty join the family! Oliver is so handsome!
Thanks for those great tips on preparing for Christmas!
Congrats on the new addition to the family - looks really cute. Your shawl looks lovely.
Happy Five on Friday
Oliver seems such a handsome boy ❤︎ Hugs to him from my cat queen Sissi!
Hello,Snap,
The last pink lily is still shinning and the bubbles too!
Your new family, Oliver is hansom!! Have a good weekend.
Sorry,my link on Five on Friday is broken.
Welcome Oliver - I hope his housemates accept him soon. He's very handsome. Ice cream can solve many of life's problems. That lily is very lovely. I'll send you some cool air, Snap!
Love that end quote. We too have a new furry friend in our house hold this week also
hmmm....I am not normally an arguer but things could be arranged if ice cream was involved. We have a new kitten in our house as well. As I type he is saving the world from a roll of paper towels.
What a beauty he is. Good advice for Christmas.
Haha! Love that fortune cookie advice. Love the color of that blue shawl, lovely. Glad you got some cooler days. Oliver is a fun name for the fur-babe! Hope your weekend is going well.
Oliver is gorgeous! We only adopt black cats - because other people won't. They think they're unlucky. But we love them.
Thank you so much for coming by my blog for five on Friday. Oliver is gorgeous, have a lovely weekend.
A beautiful water lily and well done with the knitting.
Oliver is a beautiful cat and a happy addition to your household I'm sure. I hope your weekend is going well.
I'm very envious of Oliver, he looks gorgeous. Those shawls look great, something I've never tried. B x
I love the bubbles next to the lily. Getting organised for Christmas can be quite an ordeal, great idea to start thinking about it now, much more fun.
Your shawls are beautiful and I must remember the ice cream advice!
Hi!
What a lovely catfriend!!! (And I missed our two ones in catheaven...)
I wish You will have a nice week to look forward to!
Best wishes,
AnnA
Wouldn't it be great if the politicians and leaders of the world would all sit down for a bowl of ice cream together? Great quote.
Your shawl colours are beautiful, and beautifully worked.
Lots of fun - love the knitting. I've always said if we could just sit down with a bowl of ice cream and talk to others - there would be no more wars. Pretty kitty too.
maybe if trump and hillary sat down and ate an ice cream cone together ;) oliver is so handsome! beautiful blue shawls! love the water lily! ugh...christmas shopping! my husband belongs to the christmas club at work so a portion of his paycheck all year goes into it and then he gets a check back in that amount and he hands that over to me to do the christmas shopping...it's like money we didn't even know we had! it comes the first part of november...the boys have been hinting, well can't really call it hinting, more like letting me know what they want and most of it is all football related lol...my husband is the hardest to buy for! thank you for linking and have a great week ahead!
Ice cream does sound like a perfect solution. Oliver is charming! (We used to own Siamese -- or rather more accurately, they owned us -- and I love them still.) I could not be that organized about my Christmas shopping if I were paid. But fortunately, nowadays, I really don't have a lot of it to do.
Oliver has the most beautiful blue eyes! Love seeing the waterlily and your knitting is very lovely. I do think ice cream is perhaps the best thing ever for every occasion! xx Karen
I can't think of a better way to end an argument, vanilla or chocolate chip?
Happy Mosaic Monday!
I love your new kitty. Would love to see the completed blue shawl - all of it. I'm so envious of those of you who can knit.
Such gorgeous shawls! I dabble in crocheting and have yet to finish a project. Some day my children will find bundles of yarn in baskets and shake their heads.
I will continue to have you inspire me-the blue hues are delightful as well!

Snap,
Good advice, "Settle All Arguments With Ice Cream." Or as Oliver does...raise a fluffy tail and march right through the middle. :)
Thank you for joining Monday Social.

I think Oliver is a great addition to your home.
Glad to read that Oliver is continuing to feel at home and settle in, Snap. The other will come around to be his friend one day!
