There's a lot going on in the neighborhood.
There was a birthday party.
It was a good way for us "oldsters" to meet the young families
living in the neighborhood.
And, it was FUN!
This is the "new" library for our neighborhood.
I walked by to see where it was located.
Found it without any problem.
And, I met some neighbors I did not know --
all of us out for an early walk (before it got too hot)
and looking for the library.
Too cute and it's full of books.
The neighbor who made the little library
made it from scraps being tossed out by another neighbor.
Teamwork!
Recycling at its best.
When you meet your new neighbors,
invite them to walk into the village for a bit to eat.
Stop, and look at the new mural.
Still deciding if I like it.
Better than the brick wall, I guess!
Go to a child's birthday party,
walk around your neighborhood,
make a little library,
look at a new painting.
You might meet your neighbors and make a new friend!
Wishing YOU well and much joy!

Excellent advice, really great ways to keep the neighbourhood thriving. Love your mosaics, they really back up your advice!
Thanks for joining me for Mosaic Monday and have a great week.
Hello, the child's birthday party looks like a fun time. I like the little library, a nice way to share the books. The mural is colorful. Great photos. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
We enjoy chatting with our neighbours - but it usually happens only in the summer/spring/autumn months when people are in their yards. It looks like there's a lot of fun in your neighborhood!
What a lovely post! Wonderful ways to meet neighbors. Dog walking too, I hear. My sister has a neighbor who opens her home every Tuesday morning for whatever neighbors want to come and chat over tea. Some have lived there for years but never "talked." Another nice idea. Have a good week!
All such great ideas! And I adore the little library. We got quite spoiled when we were full-time RVers because it is so easy to meet new people; RVers are nearly always a friendly lot -- and you always already have something in common as fellow travelers; it is a bit harder perhaps to get to know neighbors with whom you may not see an instant connection (unless you use the broader definition of fellow travelers -- as we all should as we float around our planet together. I try to remember that.)
I love those little libraries. That's such a great idea. We live in a 55+ community and neighbors stand in the yard and talk, or walk together. It's like the olden times...you know everyone! Hugs!
Always great to know who's in your neighbourhood! And that mural is so bright and cheery!
That painted wall is certainly colorful! Glad you had good ways to meet the neighbors, too.
I do love that little library. What a great thing to have in your neighborhood!
Looks like a great neighborhood! Love the little library - such a cute and thoughtful idea! x Karen
Excellent advice! We walk our neighborhood every day. It's a wonderful way to meet and greet neighbors casually.
Such good advice and help new neighbors feel welcomed to the neighborhood. The little library is so sweet and wasn't your neighbor smart to use scraps and recycle!
Happy day :)
Love the idea of the neighborhood library! Great collages.
I love the idea of a library in the neighborhood. Cute little house. It's good to know your neighbours. Thanks for sharing. Sylvia D.
Is that little library so cool? I hope the children find it fun. You are so right to go do something new. And to get and meet the neighbors. I have a whole subdivision across the street--I know 4 families. Wishing a great week.
What no photos of you on the slide? Mural is entertaining, and you are right better than a plain brick wall. My kind of colors though. xox
Good suggestions, all, Snap. We have to take advantage of the good weather, when everyone is outside watering and walking. I've met a few more neighbours this summer but I haven't been on any bouncy castles!
What a cute little library! Love the idea ♥

I wish it were that easy to meet our neighbours. We're in a town where people leave early to drive a distance to work and come home late. On weekends they're running kids to practice or fulfilling other duties and they aren't outside much at all.
Being retired can be a lonely week but at least it's quiet. :-)
We live rural and my neighbor it's aren't very friendly. The 2 I loved just moved.
