This and That

1. Hard to believe.
I'm already getting emails featuring Halloween!
Maybe it will make me feel cooler.
We are well into the feels like temps over 100.
Heat Advisory Time.

2. Every year on Flag Day (June 14) I look for my Uncle Sam flag for the balcony
and my Uncle Sam Welcome sign for the front door.

Welcome

It's also not a bad time to start looking for the patriotic decor for July 4th!

Star Spangled Girl

3. I love carnations.
They are a cheap flower and last such a long time.
Getting ready for red, white and blue time!

4.. The Summer Solstice is just around the corner.
You might want to celebrate by making Honey Herby Cookies.
You can find the recipe here.

5. Just about the same time each year,
I look out into the garden and see the little Inca Doves.
Magic!

Wishing YOU well and much joy!

Those cookies look wonderful. I can't believe it is almost midsummer already! That means the days will start getting shorter. I don't think I'm ready for that yet!

Have a great weekend

Gosh definitely too early to be thinking Halloween, we haven't even had midsummers day yet, or even really the summer! These companies can be a bit over keen cant they. Sit back and enjoy midsummer and your delicious cookies in the meantime!! Thank you for joining Five On Friday, hope you have a great weekend! xx

It may be early, but those Halloween decorations were brilliant! I love Carnations too, especially because they last so long xx

I can see that you love holidays. Me, too. Somehow they divide the year into segments which are more manageable than a whole year at once.

Looking forward to your 4th of July decor. Hope you'll have photos. My cards are all ready to mail and today I picked up flag stamps at the post office.

While I am not familiar with Inca Doves, yours look like a very sweet introduction to the breed. I have been gathering red, white and blue things around me and found a small USA flag...but was a day late in getting it out for Flag Day. The herbal cookie recipe looks very sunny and tasty. I am visiting you from near Portland, Oregon, thanks to Amy's Link Up and I hope you are having a happy weekend.
