Blooming in Musashi's Garden!

According to the calendar it isn't Spring yet.
Tell that to my roses!

Double Delight Rose

They have really enjoyed the rain and the cool one day and warm the next day weather!

Double Delight Rose Mosaic

This is the hybrid tea rose Double Delight.

Double Delight Rose Mosaic

From bud to full bloom.

Double Delight Rose Mosaic

At full bloom the flower is a good 5 inches across.

"Lemon ice dipped in strawberry sauce" is one of the ways it has been described.
It also has a wonderful scent.

Thank you to Mary for being our hostess for Mosaic Monday.

Wishing you WELL and a JOY filled week!

"lemon ice dipped in strawberry sauce" is a perfect, beautiful description of this rose!! I can't believe that they are blooming already but given the crazy winter we've had...not too surprising I guess. No matter -- it is lovely to see roses so soon in the year!

It's crazy out there, isn't it? My lavender is beginning to bloom and the trees are budding. My roses are surely next! ::Jill

What a perfect description! Absolutely a beautiful rose! I keep checking mine but nothing is happening yet, thank goodness. It appears we will be getting a bit of snow later on this week : (

We've had a mild winter also. A lot of blooms are very confused. Love your photos of the beautiful rose, such a pretty blush of pink.

What a great description - "lemon dipped in strawberry ice." Love it! And it's such a gorgeous rose. We have months yet before we see any sign of roses. I'm glad I can enjoy yours!

Wow! Such beautiful pictures and roses! Now, how do you place such huge pictures on your blog? Even why select 'very big' they turn out small. Maybe you were an earlier blogger than I was (2010)and maybe something changed after that.
Vitamins for the heart, those pictures.
Happy day!

What a beautiful rose! The seasons are crazy this year and we had snow yesterday - my poor primulas!

Absolutely beautiful! I'm hoping my rose manages to live from the goat pruning last summer and weird winter weather.

Hello Snap, thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods. A beautiful rose and great photography here. You folks have sun a lot longer than we do. Our son lives near Austin and his growing season is a lot longer than ours. Love that description too.

Lovely roses. I have a rose bush that has two colors like that but of course, it won't bloom for several months yet.
