When I started looking at images from 2011,
I soon decided that it would take me a year (!!) to
make all the mosaics.
So, I decided to try to pick my favorite image from each month.
Here is my look back at 2011.

It was a difficult year for me with the passing of Mr. Dragon.
But there were also moments of great joy and beauty.
I look forward to 2012.

My husband and I were in the 'Muiderslot' yesterday, a famous castle nearby. I thought of you and what you mention in your profile: knights in shining armour.
You would so have enjoyed seeing the castle in its festive atmosphere.

Some years we are happy to kick the year to the curb. 2011 was a difficult one for you but I am glad you have been able to celebrate the smaller joys along with riding the waves of the deeper sorrows. Here's looking forward to friendship and all the other joys we choose to find.

You had quite a year, Snap. Very high highs and the worst sort of low. You are an inspiration, and I hope that I am not being presumptuous in saying that.
