Winter Greetings!

By now, you know I love birds.
I started collecting the Winter Greetings china pattern by Lenox years ago.
I find a piece here and there and I'm happy when I do!
This year I found 3 mugs with the beautiful cardinal on the front and back.

Winter Greetings!

Santa seems quite happy with his cardinal friend.
I've been drinking a lot of Winter Spice an herbal blend by Twinings.
It is a comforting blend with camomile, cinnamon, cardamom and clove.

Cabin in the Snow

My neighbor and I have a holiday tradition.
We venture out to our favorite nursery to see their holiday decorations.
Always pretty and always too expensive -- but full of great ideas.
I fell in love with this little cabin.
I could imagine curling up under quilts and afghans, in front of fire,
smelling the Christmas tree in the corner, a cat or three curled up next to me,
a book in my hand and a cup of tea near by.
What a story one can make up by looking at a decoration!

Winter Cabin

Several weeks later,
look what I found!
(T.J. Maxx)
A cabin in the snow.
I think I'm going to add more snow, but I'm a happy camper.
It looks lovely under the tree and in this story,
I can hear Santa coming down the chimney!
Perhaps he'll share a cup of tea with me.

Thank you to our tea party hosts:

Wishing YOU Well and much Joy!

I can just picture you sitting on a chair by the fire, story telling which is a real gift. Now I know how you knew the china on another post was Lenox - love the mug and the cardinal is done well. (not cheesy like some I've seen)

There you go -- you made up a "whole story" about that cabin and because you were thinking about it and dreaming about it -- on that you could afford and liked was "discovered"...by chance???? ;)

I don't remember ever seeing a cardinal in Northern Minnesota. They are very pretty birds. I love your little cabin too.

Lovely cabins in the snow with a snowman or reindeer is in my imagination! You are causing me to think of my childhood in Arkansas and the beautiful family log cabin with the stone fireplace and stuffed moose over the mantle. The beautiful mug with the Cardinal is a wonderful treasure and I also love Winter Garden and the birds. Tea by the fire is so tempting and my Santa(sweetheart) is a fun guy to share treats with! Thanks for all the wonderful imagines you have created!

Thanks, Pam

I can picture you in that cabin. The blanket under which you've snuggled would have to be plaid and there'd be a lovely applewood fire burning - and ginger cookies to go with that tea....

Oh, I love your cabin, and I love when that happens. You see something you love, and it's almost as if the angels escort you to finding your own treasure.

I love cardinals too, and your mug is beautiful.

You are a lucky one to keep finding this pattern. That mug is wonderful with the Cardinal on it. He looks fab with the pine needles and holly.
The little cabin in the snow is sweet, and the one you found is really lovely too! You do have the luck!
Happy holidays! And may you have some cozy time by the fire with tea and loved ones.
Hugs,
Terri

Beautiful tea cup! The lines and the cardinal itself are so elegant.
I'm going to have to try the tea. Cardamom and clove are favorites of mine!
