Butterfly Kiss

Monarch Butterfly

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun

And find your shoulder to light on,

To bring you luck, happiness and riches

Today, tomorrow and beyond.

Lovely! I don't think I have seen any monarchs here this summer. But then, there haven't been many of the other varieties either. I wonder if it has something to do with the heat and dryness?

Lovely, both the blessing and the butterfly.

Lovely! I had a monarch visit today as well and snapped a few photos during lunch time. I see the yellow and blue swallowtails in June and July but the Monarchs don't usually show up until August. They are especially abundant when the Sedum are blooming in September.
