This and That

This last week was full of fun and surprises.

First, my beautiful god-daughter (BGD) invited me to go and watch
while she tried on wedding gowns.

I can't show you BGD in her gown,
but I can give you an idea what Mia Bridal Couture is like!

Rows and rows of beautiful dresses.
Oh, my!

There's been lots of wonderful action in Musashi's Garden.

I planted four new roses this year and the first one to bloom
is the wonderful lavender floribunda called Enchanted Evening.
I am enchanted!

Mosaic of Musashi's Garden

My one and only day lily started blooming this week.
The very handsome male common yellow-throated warbler dropped by
and I picked the first *mess* of green beans from the balcony garden.

Have you ever heard of Bed Head Pajamas?
I hadn't heard of them and I love the name.

Lastly, I want to give a shout out to my dear friend and her hubby:
My heart aches for them.
Cowboy is fighting the same horrible cancer that took Mr. Dragon
from me less than three months ago.
Please send them your love and support.

Thank you for hosting:

Hi Snap,

I didn't realize you were so recently widowed. I'm sorry for your loss & I will pray for your friend's huband, per your request.

I bet going along with the bride to be certainly must have lifted your spirits!

I hope you get to spend this Mothers Day with your DD & that neither of you have to cook! We're getting carry out! (lemon chicken...yum)

Hugs,
Rett

That is quite the dress, though I can't imagine who would choose it. A very unique person, that's for sure!

Green beans already? And we haven't even planted ours yet! Well, my parents haven't. It looks like a bountiful spring where you live. Not to mention hot. 80 degrees!

Those gowns look stunning. Love the color of that rose. It doesn't even look real. Like silver.

What a stunning dress! Beautiful blooms, too. I see you are an animal lover. On the first Friday of each month, I host Furry First Fridays, where folks share favorite photos of their pets. I'd love for you to join if you're interested.

Best of luck to Roo and her husband. I hope his cancer treatment is successful.

I bet the wedding shopping was fun, especially if she was trying on fun dresses like the one you showed!

Looks like you are really enjoying your garden. Sadly mine has been neglected up until now, but I hope to do something with it soon.

Thanks so much for visiting and commenting on my blog over the weekend. Sorry it took a while to check in with you.
