Mosaic Monday: Blooming in Musashi's Garden

I thought I'd take you on a brief tour of what is blooming in Musahi's Garden on this holiday weekend.
The heat hasn't kept us from enjoying some blooms.

You may notice that some blooms look foggy
The humidity has been so high that the lens would fog over.
I liked the look, so I left the images as is.

You can always depend on the old-fashioned zinnia to hang in there in the heat.

Because it is a holiday weekend, Mary is taking this Monday off from Mosaic Monday.

Enjoy the holiday.
Have a wonderful week.
Wishing you well and much JOY!

Hi Snap, I especially like the color of the deep orange rose and that confetti-looking zinnia is wonderful. None of my zinnias came up this summer - I think I sowed the seeds too early before we went to CA. I cannot believe your humidity - no thanks! (Though the effect of the foggy lens is nice - I expect my glasses would be steaming, too!)

Thanks to a post you had last year about your zinnias, I planted some this year and although they are quite ordinary, they are persistant and are thriving now while most else in my garden is petering out. Love that purple one and the hazy/foggy camera work!

Hi Snap,
I read your profile and see that you like knights in shining armor. Do you know the wonderful work of the German painter Sulamith Wulfing? I love her mystical paintings, but also the way she painted knights and women: http://www.bpib.com/wulfing.htm
I enjoy reading your inspiring blog and became your follower today.
Have a happy weekend!
