Teacup Tuesday

Teacup Tuesday is hosted each week by Martha and Teri.
Please visit to see all the tea parties and teacups on parade!

I think I'm the only woman in America who hasn't read Eat, Pray, Love.
I went to Cost Plus World Bazaar to look at some handmade wrapping paper I read about on one of my Yahoo Groups.

When I walked in the door I found these.
The book, the tea and the tea pot.

Now I ask you.
How was I going to pass on the adorable elephant tea pot?
Me, who loves the zoo, who went to the elephant open house and had her picture taken with a very pregnant elephant.
There was just no way.
So, I picked up the book and the tea and the teapot.
(I also got the handmade wrapping paper.)

I wish we had smell-a-blog abilities.
The tea smells heavenly: Blood Orange Cinnamon Black Tea from The Republic of Tea
"Italy brings us succulent crimson-flashed blood oranges which are praised for their luscious juice.
India brings us smooth black tea leaves which are grown in the beautiful, tranquil hillsides of Southern India.
Indonesia brings us heartwarming cinnamon, known as "sweet wood" for a spicy, fingering finish."

In case you didn't know, Eat, Pray, Love the movie opens in theaters August 13.
We have a girl day planned.
(I'll read the book someday, too!)

Enjoy your tea!

Wishing you well.

Actually, you're not the only woman who hasn't read it, but I'm finally doing my part to make it unanimous. My daughter nagged me into it.

Sounds like that package was made for you - there was a reason why you waited. Now, that book reads like a novel, once you start it you will devour it. I would love to see the movie too.

What a gorgeous vignette, Miss Snap ! And that tea pot is so adorable and happy somehow. Good luck too, right, with its trunk up in the air ?
Enjoy the brew...

Very cute teapot....I saw this author on Oprah the other day.
Isn't Julia Roberts going to be in the movie? I love her. You are so blessed to have friends to do a "girl day" with.

Nope - you're not the only woman who hasn't read Eat, Pray, Love. I haven't either. I find myself so short of time that there are LOTS of books which don't make my short list for reading...

Enjoy your tea!

I still haven't read that book myself! I'm sort of holding out until our local library gets it. I've been trying to be really good and budget my book purchases better since sometimes I spend more on books than groceries. :S

That tea sounds WONDERFUL! I love your idea for a "smell-a-blog" - very funny. :) And I love elephants too - that teapot is just adorable.

I wish I could send you some of our rain but truthfully, it scooted away after yesterday's downpour and we are back to hot steamy weather once again. Fortunately I happen to like hot and humid so I don't mind it one bit. The winter will be here in Canada soon enough so I like to enjoy my hot summers while I can.

You are NOT the only one who hasn't read that book. And not only have I not read it, I've never even HEARD of it.

That tea blend sounds fabulous. I'm especially thinking it would be delicious iced.

Finally, LOVE the elephant teapot. He is just too cute!!

Blessings to you,
Patti
